CHILI COOK-OFF DETAILS: 

Join us for a festive, community-building Chili Cook-Off! As part of our Block Party, we invite you to bring your best chili for everyone to taste! Chili can be cooked at home or on-site, whatever works best for you.

Form a team, set up a serving booth and win an award! Teams can be made up of anyone you wish: family, friends, co-workers, classmates or any other group. Choose a team name and cook your best recipe. Each team should name their chili, and make it exciting.

There will not be electrical power available, so if you need power, please bring your own small generator. Or, simply use another means to keep your chili warm, or bring it warm and ready to serve.

TIME: 

• Setup is from 9AM - 10AM on SH Practice Field - Muenster, TX
• Chili Serving Time: 11AM to 1PM 

RULES: 

• Chili does NOT have to be cooked on-site. It can be made at home, and served at the event. If you want to cook on-site, you are welcome to! Just be ready to serve at 11AM and bring your own cooking supplies and cooking setup.
• There are no specific rules: Feel free to use fillers such as beans, rice, pasta, potatoes, if you believe that makes your chili the best. Chili can be traditional red chili, or any other type of chili you wish to serve. Variety is encouraged. Feel free to serve your chili as meatless, spicy, white, green or use surprise ingredients. Additionally, chili toppings such as cheese, jalapenos, onions, crackers, etc. are encouraged.
• A team may submit/serve more than one type of chili for judging.
• Each team should bring enough serving bowls, utensils and napkins to serve their chili.
• Each team should bring a table, chairs, awning, decorations, etc. to form a booth to serve their chili.
• Each team should provide a poster or sign that displays their team name and chili name.

AWARDS: 
Team awards will be presented at approximately 1PM for the following categories: 
 

• Overall Best Chili
• Best Chili Name
• Best Team Name
• Most Unique Chili
• Best Presentation (Chili Booth Theme and Decorations)
